2.0 — Android
Version 2.0 introduces a fully customizable touch control system, new aiming options, support for built-in Halo CE cheats, and automatic synchronization with the original project.
Touch Controls & Camera View
- Camera view is controlled by dragging a finger across the screen, replacing the previous right analog stick.
- Added a second Fire button on the left side, allowing players to shoot while controlling the camera view.
- Improved handling of simultaneous inputs.
- Buttons can now be moved all the way to the display edges.
- Updated the Options and Save and exit buttons to a circular shape with a white outline, matching the style of other controls.
- Touch inputs are automatically released when hiding controls or switching away from the app.
Options Menu
- The former Edit section has been renamed to Options.
- Added new sections: Edit buttons layout, Camera sensitivity, Cheats, and General.
- Camera sensitivity can now be adjusted via a slider.
Layout Customization
- Ability to move, hide, add, and duplicate buttons.
- Added a Reset feature to restore the original layout.
- New Edit buttons size section, featuring − and + controls alongside size indicators for each button.
- Button sizes are saved together with the rest of the layout settings.
- Layout configurations can be exported and imported using
.halolayoutfiles. - Export destination and import file selection are handled through the native Android system picker.
- Full backwards compatibility with previous layout configurations.
General
- Rumble: The smartphone vibrates in response to in-game controller vibration events.
- Fixed an issue that previously prevented phone vibration from triggering.
- Gyroscope aim (Experimental): Enables aiming via the gyroscope alongside touch controls (disabled by default).
- Fixed inverted vertical axis movement during gyroscope aiming.
- Gyroscope lifecycle management is now properly linked to the app lifecycle.
- The Hide or add buttons options are now grouped under this section.
Cheats
- Added support for built-in Halo CE cheats, complete with a dedicated list in the options menu.
- Toggleable cheats display a green background when active.
- One-time or temporary cheats do not remain highlighted after execution.
Interface & Graphics
- The version text on the main menu has been replaced with FulGer.
- Integrated the latest upstream improvements for high-resolution HUD support.
- Updated sniper scope graphics elements and fixed indicator border alignment.
- Improved background scaling and menu overlay coverage on widescreen displays.
Repository & Updates
- Configured the fork dedicated to Android development while preserving shared engine source code.
- Added automatic synchronization with
cybersecurity/halo-ce-universal, running checks every 30 minutes. - New incoming commits are merged while preserving Android-specific modifications.
- The
mainbranch updates only after successfully passing tests alongside Android debug and release builds. - In the event of merge conflicts or failed builds, synchronization halts and generates a detailed report.
- Tags and release creation remain manually managed.
- Updated the
READMEto document new features and sync mechanics.
