Batch audio crops landscape cover art (like embedded YouTube thumbnails) to a centred square (the cover-art standard) by default, leaving portrait art such as audiobook covers in shape; next to the cover size in the batch Adjust panel, Square also squares portrait art and Long edge turns the cropping off entirely
Fixes
Rare crashes and 30-second freezes right after copying something, caused by the clipboard being read while it was changing
Freezes when optimising files while the Mac is low on memory (file type detection now happens in-process instead of launching a helper for every file)
Freeze at launch right after login, while the watched folders were being set up
Downscaling keeps the image's real format when the file extension is wrong (a PNG named .jpg no longer turns into a JPEG and loses transparency)
Cropping, changing playback speed, or using a custom output path on many files at once from the CLI no longer skips those operations (they were lost when the request was routed through batch mode)
Batch mode finds files inside subfolders when a folder is dropped on the drop zone or batch window (it could show an empty batch before)
