This release of ESMA_cmake v4 updates the GNU and NAG flags. We also fix issues between Baselibs, ESMF, and macOS.

Changed

  • Update GNU Debug flags to omit -ffpe-trap on macOS (APPLE) to prevent hardware SIGILL crashes in external C++ libraries (such as ESMF) on IEEE 754 division by zero
  • Update NAG Fortran Debug flags to expand -C=all and exclude -C=calls to prevent runtime interface-check table corruption at certain MAPL call sites

Fixed

  • In ConfigureBaselibs.cmake, normalize malformed Apple framework entries
    exported by affected ESMF CMake packages, avoiding framework names being
    rewritten as -l libraries by newer CMake versions.
