FreshThread 0.2.7 — Free Early Access
Pre-releaseFreshThread 0.2.7 is Free Early Access for Windows x64, with no fixed expiry date.
- Replaces the fixed beta deadline. A future signed minimum-version policy may require an update; network failure alone does not end access. Free Early Access is not a lifetime license for a future paid version.
- Makes Network activity easier to read: FreshThread has its own summary, related programs are grouped, and local-only listeners are explained. Technical connection details remain available. Sampling can miss short connections; the viewer does not inspect encrypted content.
- Improves the private support form with report types, an optional work-blocking answer and an optional screenshot. Images are resized and re-encoded locally, then shown for review. Diagnostics are under Details; unsent drafts survive closing and reopening.
- Preserves the existing panel, task handoff approval flow and five-minute automatic update checks. The old repository and update-feed links redirect to FreshThread-app.
The installer retains the independently attested bridge v0.1.3 and includes the separately attested network viewer v0.1.6. Keeping the existing bridge avoids an unnecessary Codex restart. See component verification instructions.
This is an early-access release for local Windows x64 tasks in the supported Codex MSIX app. Native ARM64, WSL and remote tasks are outside this build. Clean-machine installation, enterprise policies and sustained resource behavior have not been certified by this update. No payment or account system is introduced.
The release tag targets a GitHub-verified distribution commit. Verify the immutable release and installer with GitHub CLI:
gh release verify v0.2.7 --repo GG95-lab/FreshThread-app
gh release verify-asset v0.2.7 .\FreshThread_0.2.7_x64-setup.exe --repo GG95-lab/FreshThread-appSHA256SUMS.txt and a cryptographic updater signature accompany the installer. GitHub release verification and component build attestations are separate from Windows Authenticode publisher signing, which is not present.
