This version is very close to v1.0, however a dark theme has been added to the user interface.
Moreover some specific bugs have been fixed with the chess logic. Also, the terminal may show some stats about a move, for example, the time it took to "think", how many nodes were searched (at least on Linux)...
Some other little changes have been made and the Windows version was slightly improved.

As usual, your operating system may think these executables are viruses.

This is the first released version of this chess robot.
Executables for Linux, Windows and MacOS are provided below (more compressed types in ./bin). Your opearting system might consider this as a possible threat.
Please be aware of the disclaimer on the README file.

The robot

This robot consists of:

  • Specific opening moves for the first 3 moves.
  • The minimax algorithm along with alpha-beta pruning
  • An evaluation function which is quite basic and consists of counting the difference of material and adding bonuses to pieces when they go on specific squares.
