Team Resources

This guide explains how to access and work with shared team resources.

Types of Team Resources

Teams can share two main types of resources:

  • Agents: AI agents configured for team use
  • Datasets: Document collections for team knowledge

Accessing Team Agents

Finding Team Agents

Team agents appear in:

  • The Agents page with a team indicator
  • Team-specific filter views

Using Team Agents

  1. Go to the Agents page
  2. Find the team agent (marked with team indicator)
  3. Click on the agent to start a conversation
  4. The agent has access to team-configured settings

Team Agent Indicators

Team agents are marked with:

  • Team name badge
  • Team icon or color
  • "Shared" or "Team" label

Accessing Team Datasets

Finding Team Datasets

Team datasets appear on:

  • The Datasets page
  • Dataset selectors when configuring agents
  • Dataset filters with team labels

Using Team Datasets

You can:

  • Attach team datasets to your personal agents
  • View documents within the dataset
  • Use them during chat for context

Dataset Permissions

Your access depends on the resource permission level assigned when shared (see Resource Permissions in the Resource Governance section below).

Sharing Your Resources with the Team

Sharing an Agent

  1. Edit your agent
  2. Set visibility to Team
  3. Select your team(s)
  4. Save changes

Your agent now appears for team members.

Sharing a Dataset

  1. Edit your dataset
  2. Set visibility to Team
  3. Select your team(s)
  4. Save changes

Your dataset is now accessible to team members.

Resource Governance

Resource Permissions

When a resource (agent or dataset) is shared with a team, it has a permission level that controls what team members can do with it:

Permission What You Can Do
Read Use the resource (chat with an agent, see and reference a dataset)
Edit Use the resource AND view and modify its configuration

The resource owner or team managers set this permission when sharing.

Team Roles

Your team role determines what actions you can take within the team:

Action Member Contributor Manager Owner
Use shared resources Yes Yes Yes Yes
Share own resources No Yes Yes Yes
Unshare from team No Own only Yes Yes

Note: Team roles control team-level actions. Resource permissions control what you can do with a specific resource.

Best Practices

When using team resources:

  • Follow team guidelines for agent use
  • Don't modify shared resources without coordination
  • Report issues to team managers

When sharing your resources:

  • Document what you're sharing
  • Communicate with team members
  • Maintain what you share

Collaborating on Resources

Working Together

Teams can collaborate by:

  • Creating agents for common workflows
  • Building shared knowledge bases
  • Standardizing configurations

Communication

When working with team resources:

  • Discuss changes before making them
  • Document modifications
  • Share feedback on what's working

Troubleshooting

Can't See Team Resources

  • Verify your team membership
  • Check resource visibility settings
  • Ensure you have proper permissions

Resources Not Working

  • Check if the resource was modified
  • Verify configurations are correct
  • Contact the resource owner or admin

Permission Denied

  • Confirm your team role
  • Check specific resource permissions
  • Ask a team manager for access
