Minigame Packs and Filters

Minigame Selection Logic

In Gamutoware, minigames are organized into Packs and can be further refined using Filters.

Minigame Menu UI

Packs vs. Filters

  • Minigame Packs: These serve as collections of minigames that can be selected and played as a group.
  • Filters: These act as "exclusion lists." They remove specific minigames from the total pool of selected packs based on defined criteria (e.g., content warnings or specific gameplay mechanics).

Example Scenario: If a player selects the class_of_2025 and moraguma packs but enables the no_luck filter, the loader will generate a list containing:

(All games in class_of_2025 + All games in moraguma) MINUS any games flagged as luck-based.

Infinity Modifier

The Infinity Modifier allows minigames to repeat. When enabled, the game session runs indefinitely until the player loses all their lives.

Data Structure

Each pack is a Data Resource containing an array of MicrogameAsset resources.

The Jam and Arcade menus generate their selection buttons dynamically by referencing the data in res://principal/recursos/data/Minigames.gd.

# Example of how packs and filters are defined in Minigames.gd
const minigame_packs = {
    "class_of_2025" : preload("res://principal/recursos/data/packs/class_of_2025.tres"),
    "godotware":      preload("res://principal/recursos/data/packs/godotware.tres"),
    "moraguma":       preload("res://principal/recursos/data/packs/moraguma.tres")
}

const filters = {
    "no_gore": preload("res://principal/recursos/data/filters/no_gore.tres"),
    "no_luck": preload("res://principal/recursos/data/filters/no_luck.tres")
}
