Linux and macOS — unpack and run lostc (terminal) or lostc-gui
(graphical). The packaging/ directory in the Linux archives holds the
man pages, shell completions, desktop entry, icon and AppStream
metainfo that a distribution package installs.

Windows — the Microsoft Store build
is the packaged one and carries its whole runtime. The archive here is
for people who would rather not have a store.

macOS — these are the two Rust front-ends. The native Mac app is a
separate build and is not here yet.
