Pipemix
PipeMix 0.3.0
New: Windows support
- Native Windows build using WASAPI, with the same GUI and CLI as Linux. It ships as a PyInstaller + Inno Setup installer.
- With VB-CABLE: the full hub mode, including per-app routing. An app can play on several outputs at once.
- Without VB-CABLE: mirror mode. One output becomes the Windows default and the others copy it. A banner says when you're in this mode, and the main output is marked PRIMARY.
- The Apps tab shows when an app won't switch outputs until you restart it (for example, Apple Music).
- When you stop sharing, Windows goes back to a sensible default output.
Linux
- Lower delay: each output is now delayed only 30 ms plus the slowest device's latency (about 230 ms with Bluetooth), and all outputs stay in sync.
- Fixed an echo: when an output disappeared, its audio could loop back into the hub.
- Outputs that disconnect stay in the session and come back when they reconnect, so you don't have to tick them again.
- Bluetooth outputs recover when their sink is recreated, for example after a codec switch or a WirePlumber restart.
- Quick taps on toggles and presets are applied in order, and the last one wins.
Pipemix
PipeMix v0.2.0
New
- Per-app multi-output: send a single app to any subset of your shared outputs, or pick "Enable all" to have it follow the session.
- In-sync playback: each output gets its own delay based on its reported latency, so Bluetooth and wired devices play together. To fine-tune by ear, use PipeWire's latency offset.
- Live updates: plugged-in USB/HDMI outputs and app streams now appear on their own. No more manual Refresh or 3 s polling.
- Wired hotplug: a USB/HDMI output unplugged mid-session stays listed as reconnecting and rejoins when it's plugged back in, the same way Bluetooth devices do.
Fixes
- The window no longer freezes during Bluetooth connects and disconnects.
- Stopping sharing or quitting moves streams back to the original default output first, so audio doesn't cut out.
- Outputs that rejoin the session show as ticked again.
- A session that fails to start no longer leaves stray hub modules behind.
- Volume changes are applied in order, and toggling an output makes far fewer
pactlcalls.
