Vita Auto v0.1.0
Changelog
Initial public release
Vita Auto brings wired Android Auto to the PlayStation Vita. This is an
experimental homebrew release.
Features
- Native Android Auto over USB.
- Music, navigation audio, touch/button and microphone support.
- Quiet and diagnostic builds, with logs stored in
ux0:data/vita_auto/vita_auto.log. - Installation, powered OTG wiring, architecture, and roadmap documentation.
Installation
Install vita_auto.vpk, add vita_auto_usb.skprx under *KERNEL in the taiHEN
configuration, and reboot. The client .suprx is included in the VPK and does
not need a separate plugin entry.
A powered OTG adapter or suitable Y-cable must supply stable 5 V to the phone
side. See the setup guide for wiring and installation details.
Known limitations
- Wired Android Auto only. Wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay are not
yet supported. - Controller navigation, connection, and reconnect behaviour need broader
device testing. USB handshake timeouts and cleanup failures have been observed
during development. If Restart required appears, reboot before retrying. - Changing the audio destination requires disconnecting and starting a new
session. Phone mode leaves music/navigation routing to Android.
Use the quiet build first. For a bug report, include the phone model, Android
version, powered OTG setup, error code, and a log from the diagnostic build.
