Расширенный режим: вариативный шрифт / Extended mode: variable font

• «Файл → Экспорт вариативного шрифта (TTF)»: один файл со всеми мастерами. В Word, Figma, Photoshop и CSS (font-variation-settings) насыщенность меняется ползунком, а в меню шрифтов появляются начертания Light, Regular, Medium, SemiBold, Bold и другие между мастерами.

• Внутри — таблицы fvar (ось и начертания), gvar (сдвиги точек каждого мастера; промежуточные мастеры работают как отдельные участки оси) и STAT.

• Точки TrueType во всех мастерах получаются одинаковыми: общий порядок и направление контуров, одинаковое число кусков у каждой кривой.

• Буквы, которые в мастерах устроены по-разному, остаются без изменения насыщенности.

• Проверено в HarfBuzz, fontTools и Chrome.

• Inside are the fvar (axis and styles), gvar (point deltas of every master; intermediate masters work as separate parts of the axis) and STAT tables.

• TrueType points are the same in every master: one order and direction of contours, the same number of pieces for every curve.

• Glyphs built differently in the masters keep one weight.

• Checked in HarfBuzz, fontTools and Chrome.
