This release adds collaborator-owned account execution and improves file transfers, shared-session identity, and account controls across desktop and Remote.
Highlights
- Collaborators can select their own connected Claude or GPT account for work on an invited PC, subject to the host's permissions. Both the work PC and the account-connected PC need this release; updating Remote alone does not add this capability to desktop 0.1.233.
- Remote files share artifact download and viewing actions, with actual byte-based download percentages, retry, and recovery during a temporary interruption to the same PC connection. Unsupported previews remain downloadable.
- Remote uses Artifacts, Files, Terminal, Tasks in the same order as desktop, with a styled file-sort menu.
- Desktop shared sessions have a compact collaboration badge and the same checklist Task icon as Remote. Newly attributed guest messages display their sender's stored name; owner messages stay unlabelled. Older messages without sender metadata are not assigned guessed names.
- Account selection explains which PC and allowance will be used. Context-window details, model-specific overrides, and generated-media viewing have also been updated.
- Runtime dependencies include current Claude/Codex adapters and security patches for image processing and HTTP handling.
Compatibility and validation
The existing 100 MiB desktop file-transfer limit remains. Download percentages measure bytes received by Remote, not the operating system's subsequent save operation. Collaborator-owned execution requires compatible online PCs, connected accounts, and the work PC's supported isolation setup.
Automated regression, packaging, signing, and live-service checks are recorded separately from user acceptance. Physical Windows/Mac/iPhone behavior and the complete two-PC collaborator workflow remain awaiting explicit user live validation on this release.
