This release updates shared workspaces, file access, and media presentation across desktop and Remote.
Changes
- Add or remove reference folders in an idle desktop conversation without starting another conversation. Folder access follows the session's permission mode.
- Remote Home can start work with a collaborator's own connected account. Shared project selection is limited to authorized session folders, with a visible new-folder action.
- Owner permission changes update the collaborator's view and add a notice to the collaboration chat. Remote's update action retains the invited-PC context.
- Session outputs created in another project can be opened when the host verifies a successful write for that exact file. Transfer, device, and sharing permissions still apply. File errors use readable recovery instructions.
- Generated images, audio, and video use consistent loading cards. Outputs stay at their generating tool/message instead of gathering after the final reply, including restored conversations.
- Desktop navigation has more room for labels, large Home cost values fit their cards, and mobile Settings and collaboration are available under More.
- Google's video request uses the supported REST option for the number of generated samples.
Compatibility and validation
Update the connected PC as well as Remote for the desktop-side changes. Own-account execution also requires the account-connected PC to be online and compatible. The existing 100 MiB transfer limit remains.
Automated behavior, packaging, signing, and live-service evidence is separate from user acceptance. Physical-device and full two-PC validation remain awaiting explicit user confirmation for this release.
