This release improves connection recovery, file previews and typing in long conversations, and brings account refresh updates to the Windows and macOS desktop apps.
Changes
- Remote refreshes file lists after reconnecting and preserves known files during temporary connection trouble. Downloads can continue after same-PC transport recovery; losing access or changing accounts cancels the old work.
- Long conversations keep fewer rows mounted while retaining their history. Typing, searching older messages and returning from previews preserve the conversation's state.
- PDFs open in the built-in viewer. Markdown honors an explicitly declared encoding and otherwise uses UTF-8. HTML projects can use the web-app preview to load their linked assets together.
- Received files are grouped in Remote's downloaded-files list. This temporary list clears on refresh; files saved separately remain on your device.
- Codex account refreshes for the same account run sequentially. A single empty account response is checked again before the app treats it as a sign-out.
- Remote's initial shell loads less conversation-rendering code, keeping login and recovery screens lighter. Download descriptions use the app's shared typography and color system.
Compatibility and validation
Update thread0 on the work PC and, when applicable, the subscription-account PC as well as Remote. Some preview and account features require the PC update.
The existing 100 MiB transfer limit remains. A reported repeated-paragraph case remains under investigation. Automated release checks do not replace physical-device acceptance; user live validation remains pending.
