What's New

gentle-pi v0.16.0 makes review authority durable across worktrees while making the review flow itself smaller: one useful discovery, one bounded correction, and targeted proof before delivery. It also adds package-owned exploration and verification roles for everyday non-SDD work.

Highlights

  • Durable graph-v1 authority: Linked worktrees now share one content-addressed review store, repository identity, lock domain, recovery path, and validated bundle format.
  • Safer release-from-main: Protected main releases can use the fast path only when the exact remote SHA, required CI, tag identity, and fresh-risk conditions are proven.
  • Clear non-SDD roles: New gentle-ai-explore and gentle-ai-verify agents separate read-only discovery and verification from implementation, SDD, and review lenses.
  • One bounded ordinary review: Genesis paths and accepted findings are frozen; correction cannot expand scope; validation consumes original acceptance proof plus exact per-finding regression proof.
  • Non-blocking late observations: Follow-ups are action-free evidence. They cannot reopen discovery, create another correction round, or block the current delivery.

Review Authority

  • Added canonical graph events, object storage, checkpoints, locking, repository identity, reset/recovery, mirrors, and deterministic bundle export/import.
  • Fixed linked-worktree authority divergence by resolving review state through the Git common directory.
  • Added pinned root-set repository identity that fails closed on store transplant or removed anchors.
  • Contained cross-repository bundle adoption behind explicit untrusted-source acknowledgement.

Review Lifecycle

  • Bound new ordinary reviews to canonical immutable genesis paths.
  • Restricted the single correction to the exact frozen blocking IDs and original paths.
  • Replaced ordinary fix-line re-review with one proof-only validator.
  • Rejected missing, duplicate, failed, or action-bearing validation evidence before authority changes.
  • Preserved explicit Judgment Day as the separate iterative high-assurance mode.

Agent Routing

  • Added package-owned gentle-ai-explore for generic read-only repository mapping.
  • Added package-owned gentle-ai-verify for parent-authorized verification commands.
  • Kept SDD agents inside SDD, review lenses inside review transactions, and gentle-ai-worker focused on implementation.

Compatibility

  • Existing graph/CAS replay, resume, receipts, gates, bundles, routing, and Judgment Day behavior remain covered.
  • Published v0.13/v0.14 managed-asset migrations remain supported.
  • No breaking configuration migration is required.

Verification

  • 430/430 tests passed, including the Pi runtime harness.
  • Package resource verification passed for all 49 required paths.
  • npm pack --dry-run confirmed gentle-pi@0.16.0 with 135 packaged files.
  • CI passed on the exact release commit.
