WITCHCRAFT puts Claude Code and Codex terminals inside WoW Forever, with a Windows companion and a WoW MCP server. Send prompts, read replies and answer supported terminal choices from the game, or ask an assistant to investigate recorded addon errors.
Free and open source (MIT). Your assistant account and normal usage costs are separate.

The uncut demo shows character context and an addon Lua-error fix from inside WoW.
Download and install
- First installation: download the full source ZIP. It contains the addon, Windows daemon, MCP server and Claude Code management skill. Follow the current installation guide, then the first-run steps.
- Addon folder only: Witchcraft-0.1.0.zip. This still requires the companion from the full source download. Extract the
Witchcraftfolder into the intended client'sInterface\AddOnsfolder.
Requires Windows 10/11, WoW Forever (interface 16001), Node.js 24+, and a signed-in native Claude Code and/or Codex CLI executable. Use --only claude or --only codex if you have one assistant. The fast transports are pinned to 1.60.1.70205; the setup guide includes screen-strip calibration for the fallback. Other WoW clients are outside this release's compatibility claim.
Included in 0.1.0
- Separate Claude and Codex tabs, current-session joining, drafts, prompt history, snippets and multiline prompts.
- Permission-choice buttons, terminal keys, unread indicators and optional completion alerts.
- WoW MCP tools for character, location, tracked quests, progression and recorded Lua errors.
- Guides, loot goals, dungeon rehearsal, zone detours and a personal adventure passport. Reference catalogs use Classic data and are not verified Forever mechanics or drop tables.
- Window customization, minimap access, keybindings and a separate desktop overlay.
- A Claude Code skill for starting, stopping and checking the daemon.
The MCP server exposes 12 read-only tools, plus three local goals/passport write tools when enabled. Normal assistant permissions apply. Review security and privacy, including the trust required for other enabled addons.
