BetterBootstrap v3.7.0 - Initial Release 🎉

This marks the first official stable release of BetterBootstrap, a desktop application designed to simplify the installation and management of BetterDiscord on Windows.

Tired of manual installs or injector issues? BetterBootstrap aims to provide a smoother experience.

Key Features in this Release:

  • Automatic Installation & Updates: Automatically checks for and installs the latest stable version of BetterDiscord (VERY FUTURE PROOF).
  • Automatic Install on Launch: Optional setting to automatically install/update BetterDiscord when BetterBootstrap starts (enabled by default).
  • Manual Controls: Easy-to-use buttons in the dashboard to manually Install/Update, Repair, or Uninstall BetterDiscord.
  • System Integration:
    • Option to launch BetterBootstrap automatically on Windows startup.
    • Option to keep the application running minimized in the system tray.
  • Status & Progress: Clear indication of BetterDiscord's installation status and visual progress bars during operations.
  • Simple Interface: Clean UI focused on managing your BetterDiscord installation.

Attached Assets:

  • BetterBootstrap_3.7.0.exe: Windows Portable executable. No installation needed – just download and run!

How to Use:

  1. Download the BetterBootstrap_1.0.0_Portable.exe file below.
  2. Run the executable.
  3. If BetterDiscord is not detected, it should automatically install (if the setting is enabled). Otherwise, use the buttons on the Dashboard to manage your installation.
  4. Configure startup and tray behavior in the Settings tab.

Notes:

  • This version is primarily built and tested for standard Discord installations on Windows.
  • Path detection works best with standard Discord Stable installations in %LOCALAPPDATA%. Support for PTB/Canary or non-standard locations might vary.
  • Ensure Discord is closed before running Install/Repair/Uninstall for best results (BetterBootstrap attempts to close it automatically).
