  • Apple's September 2026 iCloud Terms of Use update. Until the user accepts the new terms, accountLogin still succeeds but returns termsUpdateNeeded: true with a reduced service map that omits Find My. Both upstream pyicloud (the timlaing fork Home Assistant pins at 2.6.5) and icloud3 shipped handling for this in the last few weeks. Given the timing of this report, this is the most likely cause.
  • Untrusted session. Apple returns the reduced pre-2FA map when the trust token is not honoured, and the plugin proceeded anyway.
  • Stale webservices after 2FA. After the code is accepted, trust_session calls accountLogin but never refreshed the webservices map. Upstream fixed the same bug in PR #332.
