CastFi v0.10.2

고른 설정이 실제로 그대로 나가게 고쳤습니다. DSD 업샘플에서 모듈레이터와 보간 필터가 선택과 다르게 동작하던 문제,
재생 중에 바꾼 설정이 반영되지 않던 문제를 근본 수정했습니다. 48·96·192kHz 음원에서 DSD 변환이 아예 켜지지 않던 제보에는
켜고 끌 수 있는 새 옵션과 안내를 더했고, 다른 프로그램이 출력 장치를 쥐고 있을 때 원인을 말해 주도록 했습니다.

DSD 업샘플 — 고른 설정이 실제로 적용되지 않던 문제 (제보)

  • Trellis Direct 를 골라도 Standard 로 변환되던 문제. 스트리밍·외장 앱 소리를 ASIO 로 내보내는 경로에서만 모듈레이터
    선택이 전달되지 않았습니다. 같은 선택이 다른 출력 경로에서는 정상이었기 때문에 화면과 실제가 갈렸습니다.
  • 정밀한 보간 필터를 골라도 낮은 단계로 내려가던 문제. GPU 로 처리하면서 판정만 CPU 기준으로 해, 높은 단계 필터가 매번
    자동으로 낮춰졌습니다. 이제 실제로 쓰는 장치 기준으로 판정합니다.
  • 재생 중에 모듈레이터·필터를 바꿔도 그대로이던 문제. 스트리밍 변환은 설정을 시작할 때 한 번만 읽었습니다. 이제 바뀐
    설정을 감지해 변환을 다시 걸어, 몇 초 안에 새 설정으로 이어집니다.
  • 홈 화면의 모듈레이터 이름이 Standard 로 잘못 표시되던 문제. 실제로는 고른 모듈레이터로 돌고 있었는데 표시만 틀렸습니다.

48·96·192kHz 음원에서 DSD 변환이 켜지지 않던 문제 (제보 · 새 옵션)

  • DSD 출력 레이트는 음원의 샘플레이트 계열을 따라갑니다. 48kHz 계열 음원은 48kHz 계열 DSD 로 나가는데, 상당수 DAC 은
    그 계열을 받지 않습니다. 그러면 그 음원들만 DSD 변환이 꺼지고 일반 재생으로 내려갔습니다.
  • 「샘플레이트 계열 맞춤」 옵션을 새로 넣었습니다(기본 꺼짐). 켜면 그 음원만 44.1kHz 계열로 맞춘 뒤 변환해, DAC 이 실제로
    받는 레이트로 내보냅니다. 44.1kHz 계열 음원은 아무 영향이 없습니다.
  • 이 증상이 실제로 생겼고 켜면 해결되는 경우에만, 신호 경로 화면에 사유와 켜기 버튼이 함께 나타납니다.

다른 프로그램이 출력 장치를 독점하고 있을 때 (제보)

  • 다른 음악 프로그램이 독점 모드로 장치를 쥐고 있으면 변환 시작이 계속 실패하는데, 화면에는 "출력 장치를 열 수 없습니다"만
    반복됐습니다. 사용자에게는 DAC 미지원처럼 보였습니다.
  • 이제 원인을 말하고 자동 재시도를 멈춥니다. 해당 프로그램의 독점 모드를 끄거나 종료한 뒤 다시 적용하면 됩니다.
    업샘플 스위치는 꺼지지 않습니다.

설정 설명

  • 「샘플레이트 계열 맞춤」과 「DSD Direct Safe」에 마우스를 올리면 다른 항목처럼 오른쪽에 언제 켜야 하는지가 나옵니다.

공지

  • 화면에 뜨는 공지를 최대 4개로 제한하고, 버전 공지는 최신 하나만 표시합니다.

바뀌지 않은 것

  • AP-1, FIR EQ, 헤드폰 보정, 음장효과, 비트퍼펙트와 ASIO 선택 규칙, 출력 라우팅.
  • 「샘플레이트 계열 맞춤」을 켜지 않으면 DSD 변환 동작은 이전 버전과 완전히 같습니다.
  • 44.1kHz 계열 음원의 변환 경로, 오프라인 변환, Android 연동.

Fixed (v0.10.2)

DSD upsampling — the setting you picked was not the one that ran (user reports)

  • Trellis Direct ran as Standard. Only the path that sends streaming and external-app audio over ASIO failed to pass
    the modulator choice through. The same choice worked on other output paths, so the screen and the sound disagreed.
  • A precise interpolation filter dropped to a lower level. Processing ran on the GPU while the decision was made
    against a CPU limit, so high levels were lowered every time. The decision now follows the device actually in use.
  • Changing the modulator or filter during playback did nothing. Streaming conversion read the settings once at start.
    It now detects the change and re-applies the conversion within a few seconds.
  • The modulator name on the home screen read "Standard". The chosen modulator was running; only the label was wrong.

DSD conversion would not engage on 48 / 96 / 192 kHz tracks (user report · new option)

  • A DSD stream's rate follows the sample-rate family of the track. 48 kHz-family tracks go out as 48 kHz-family DSD, and
    many DACs do not accept that family. Those tracks alone fell back to ordinary playback.
  • A new option, "Match sample-rate family", has been added (off by default). Turn it on and those tracks are matched
    to the 44.1 kHz family before conversion, so the output lands on a rate the DAC accepts. 44.1 kHz-family tracks are
    unaffected.
  • The signal-path screen shows the reason and a one-click enable button, but only when the symptom is real and
    turning the option on would actually fix it.

When another program holds the output device exclusively (user report)

  • If another music program holds the device in exclusive mode, conversion keeps failing to start while the screen only
    repeats "cannot open the output device". To the user this looked like the DAC was unsupported.
  • CastFi now states the cause and stops retrying. Turn off that program's exclusive mode or close it, then apply
    again. The upsampling switch is left on.

Settings help

  • Hovering "Match sample-rate family" or "DSD Direct Safe" now shows when to turn it on in the right-hand panel,
    like the other options.

Announcements

  • At most four on-screen announcements, and only the newest version announcement.

Unchanged

  • AP-1, FIR EQ, headphone correction, spatial effects, bit-perfect and ASIO selection rules, output routing.
  • With "Match sample-rate family" left off, DSD conversion behaves exactly as in the previous version.
  • The conversion path for 44.1 kHz-family tracks, offline conversion, and Android integration.
