폰 앱(CastFi Remote) 새 버전과 함께 쓰는 업데이트입니다. 폰으로 PC 를 조작할 때 스트리밍 서비스의
홈·검색·라이브러리·재생 대기열이 제대로 보이도록 PC 쪽 데이터 경로를 넓혔고, 곡을 눌러도 재생이 바뀌지 않던
문제를 고쳤습니다. 음질·음장 처리·출력 경로·오디오 동작은 하나도 바꾸지 않았습니다.

YouTube Music

  • 지역·멤버십 정책 때문에 PC 가 홈·검색·라이브러리 자료를 받지 못하는 경우, 사용자가 로그인해 보고 있는
    내장 YouTube Music 화면이 받는 자료를 그대로 씁니다. 플레이리스트·앨범 상세와 재생도 같은 경로를 탑니다.
    폰에서 홈 항목을 눌렀을 때 0곡으로 보이거나 재생이 되지 않던 문제가 이것으로 사라집니다.
  • 폰의 재생 화면에서 재생 대기열을 볼 수 있도록 PC 가 현재 대기열을 제공합니다.
  • 폰 홈에서 YouTube Music 을 실행하면 내장 화면을 열고 "검색 탭에서 곡을 골라 재생하세요" 라고 안내합니다.
    이전에는 실행 직후 될 수 없는 추천 자동 재생을 여러 번 시도한 뒤 그것을 실패처럼 보였습니다. 이미 화면이 열려 있을 때의
    추천 자동 재생은 그대로입니다.

Spotify

  • PC 컨트롤에서 검색한 곡을 눌러도 데스크톱 앱의 재생 곡이 바뀌지 않던 문제를 고쳤습니다. 이제 데스크톱 앱에
    직접 지시해 바로 바뀝니다(외장·내장 모두 확인).
  • 아티스트 화면의 앨범 목록이 비어 보이던 문제(8월 초부터 · Spotify 의 요청 한도 변경)를 고쳤습니다. 이제
    페이지를 나눠 모두 받고, 앨범이 정말 없는 경우와 받지 못한 경우를 구분해 보여 줍니다. 아티스트 이름·이미지가
    비어 있던 경우도 함께 채웁니다.
  • 홈에 신규 발매 를 제공합니다. Spotify 가 이 앱에 제공하지 않는 경우에는 오류를 띄우지 않고 조용히 숨깁니다.

앨범 아트

  • 폰의 재생 화면이 고해상도 앨범 아트를 쓸 수 있도록 PC 가 원본 주소를 함께 보냅니다(내장 재생과 Spotify).
    이전에는 Windows 가 주는 작은 이미지만 있어 확대하면 자글자글했습니다.

DSD 업샘플링 설정

  • 모듈레이터 목록을 PC 가 한 곳에서 제공해, 폰 설정 화면에 PC 와 항상 같은 목록이 보입니다.

바뀌지 않은 것

음질과 음장 처리·출력 경로와 오디오 동작·화면 디자인과 배치·재생 동작·설정값과 상태 복원. 전부 이전과 동일합니다.
새 홈·대기열 기능은 폰 앱을 최신으로 올려야 보입니다.

YouTube Music

  • When regional or membership policy keeps the PC from fetching home, search and library data, CastFi now uses
    the data your signed-in built-in YouTube Music view already receives. Playlist and album details and playback
    take the same path, which removes the case where a home item showed 0 songs or would not play from the phone.
  • The PC now exposes the current play queue so the phone's Now Playing screen can show it.
  • Launching YouTube Music from the phone's Home now opens the built-in view and guides you to pick a song from the
    Search tab    . Previously it tried a recommended auto-play that cannot succeed right after launch and then showed
    that as a failure. Recommended auto-play still works when the view is already open.

Spotify

  • Fixed the desktop app not changing track when you tapped a searched song from phone control. The desktop app is
    now instructed directly and switches immediately (verified for both external and built-in modes).
  • Fixed the empty album list on artist pages (since early August, caused by a Spotify request-limit change).
    Albums are now fetched page by page, and "no albums" is distinguished from "could not fetch". Artist name and
    image no longer come up blank.
  • New releases are offered on Home. When Spotify does not provide them to this app, the shelf is hidden quietly
    instead of showing an error.

Album art

  • The PC now sends the high-resolution artwork address so the phone's Now Playing screen can use it (built-in
    playback and Spotify). Previously only the small Windows-provided image was available and looked grainy when enlarged.

DSD upsampling settings

  • The modulator list is served from one place on the PC, so the phone's settings screen always matches the PC.

Unchanged

Sound quality and sound-field processing, output paths and audio behaviour, screen design and layout, playback
behaviour, settings and state restoration. All identical to before. The new Home and queue features require the
latest phone app.
