v0.3.0
v0.3.0 - Stable compatibility + obfuscate_str! core upgrade
Hi. This release focuses on stable Rust compatibility and a major improvement to string macro ergonomics.
Done in 0.3.0:
#44 + #36 - obfuscate_string! ergonomics + temporary borrow fixes
Introduced obfuscate_str!() and improved macro behavior so obfuscated strings work smoothly with:
- &str comparisons
- function arguments expecting &str
- pattern matching / match ergonomics (no more annoying workarounds)
#65 - Support optional obfuscation of const &str (safe default: skip)
- On stable Rust, rewriting const &str into obfuscate_str!(...) caused E0015.
- Default behavior is now safe: string obfuscation is skipped inside const items, keeping output stable-compatible and compilable.
- Tests updated accordingly.
- Import injection is now granular and avoids “partial import” compile failures.
⏳ Postponed
#41 - Make AES_KEY non-extractable in release binaries
Already mitigated earlier by removing the public constant and using build-time key injection.
Full runtime key derivation / stronger hardening is postponed to v0.3.1.
Thanks for using Rustfuscator.
