Telegram MCP Server v1.0.0

Local MCP server that gives AI agents access to your Telegram account. The Model Context Protocol (MCP) lets AI apps like Claude Code and Cursor connect to external tools and data sources[citation:7].

AI agents can't natively read or send Telegram messages. This server bridges that gap — it runs locally on your machine and exposes Telegram as MCP tools the agent can call.

Read Messages — retrieve chat history, search messages globally or within a specific chat, get unread counts, and read message threads[citation:4][citation:10].

Send Messages — send text messages, reply to threads, edit sent messages, forward between chats, and schedule messages for later delivery[citation:10][citation:14].

Search Chats — find dialogs by name, username, or type. Search across all chats or scope to a single conversation[citation:15][citation:8].

Manage Channels — create groups and channels, archive or mute chats, set titles and descriptions, manage participants, and generate invite links[citation:10][citation:16].

Contact Management — list contacts, get user profiles, block or unblock users, and search for people by name or phone number[citation:10].

System Requirements:

  • Windows 10 / 11 (64-bit)
  • Node.js 20+ runtime
  • 4 GB RAM
  • Telegram API credentials from my.telegram.org

Installation:
Download Telegram-MCP-Server-v1.0.0.zip, extract, run TelegramMCP.exe as administrator, authorize with your phone number, then add the server to your agent's config.
