Rad Pro 3.0: Feedback for FNIRSI GC-01

Please confirm the following:

• Is the battery indicator working correctly? It should display the charging status. Note that the hardware does not provide information on USB power connection.
• Is the battery voltage measured correctly?
• Is the alert LED operating as expected? It should display pulses when no alert is active, and flash on and off when an alert is triggered.

Many thanks for your hard work with 3.0rc1, Gissio!

GC-01 with Geehy processor here, all basic functions working flawlessly.

• Battery indicator: after connecting a charger, the indicator goes solid immediately and around 20 minutes later it changes into the charging symbol. No color change of the symbol, though. I have yet to test if there is a color change for low voltage.
• Battery voltage: with the charger connected, the voltage on the statistics page indicates around 4.7 Volts. A fully charged battery shows around 4.15 Volts on the statistics page (real measured voltage 4.2 Volts).
• Alert LED: working perfect as per your description.

That’s bad news indeed. When USB is disconnected, the charger circuit is pulling down more strongly than the MCU is pulling up. This means there is no way to distinguish the USB disconnected state from the USB charging state.

This may be a stupid question, but can the MCU input be configured as analog input?

That's an excellent question. Unfortunately, configuring the input as analog does not enable software-based control of a pull-up resistor, so the two states remain indistinguishable.

The battery indicator should stay gray.

Just loaded this latest zip on my Geehy GC-01. Black battery icon working as expected, no charge symbol.
Since there is a red/green charge indicator LED next to the USB socket, this is perfectly fine for me.

Переносите прошивку только на виндовс 10/11 и чтобы стартовый путь имел только английские символы/цифры, если папка будет называться русским названием, ничего не получится. А еще заметил, что прибор с последней прошивкой сам не включается, как раньше, нужно отключить кабель USB и потом включить прибор.

То, что прибор не включается это хорошо для случаев как у меня.
Если я хочу прошить прибор через програматор, я не могу это сделать по простой причинн - при подключении програматора, прибор сам включается так как получает питание. Следовательно, в таком состоянии он не прошивался.
Всегда приходилось его из под линукса окирпичивать, чтобы он перестал включатся. Теперь этого не нужно будет делать, по идее.

Another observation: just turned the device on with no USB connection. At first, the battery indicator showed low charge in red, then it went black and, over the next minutes, slowly went up to indicate full charge. Voltage on statistics page remained pretty much constant at around 4.1 Volts all the time.
I was not able to reproduce it yet.

I am using a filter to minimize line noise. The filter is initialized during device startup. If the initial sample is faulty, it takes approximately 100 seconds—the filter's time constant—to converge to an accurate value.

Anyway, I recently added a Schmitt trigger to the battery indicator so it does not jump around. Thanks to your comment I noticed the filter might not be necessary!

I checked three power supplies 4.5 4.6 4.7 volts. And USB 4.6 volts on the device display. You can do this, everything above 4.4 volts charges. If 4.3 volts, charging does not go on the display. And the battery icon on the display, if possible, is larger, because it is small if compared with the rest of the text. With the cable disconnected, I have 4.1 V approximately. So that the lightning icon appears only when charging, because it interferes with the battery discharge, you can not see. Here are two photos. The first one is without connecting the charging unit and the second one is 4.7v with charging and the battery icon on the display is the same. So I indicated the voltages at which the charging should run on the display.

My APM-based GC-01 also shows battery charging for the whole time. Reported battery voltage is 3.930V, and the battery icon shows charging.
Also, I have a big problem with entering flash-update mode. It entered it directly after flashing via ST link, yet I couldn't leave it. Finally, I managed to exit the update mode by pressing the reset button, but since then, I can no longer force it to enter USB drive mode; it appears as a COM port instead.
