Summary

Traversio 1.0.9 is a source-compatible update for remote port forwarding reliability on Apple platform releases before 26.

Changes

  • Remote port forwarding now closes a forwarded channel promptly when the fixed local target refuses the connection on releases before 26. The local connection previously stayed waiting until the forwarding scope ended; it now fails with the refusal error, as it already did on release 26 and later.
  • Ordinary SSH connections, route roots, ProxyJump roots, and connection proxies keep waiting for a network path change, and other waiting reasons keep their existing behavior.
  • Tools/check-public-api.sh now pins SwiftPM's Swift Build build system, so the public API baseline no longer changes with the toolchain's default build system. No public symbol was added, removed, or changed.
  • README, CHANGELOG, Website release notes, and SwiftPM install snippets now point at 1.0.9.

Validation

  • Tools/check-release-metadata.sh 1.0.9
  • Tools/check-public-api.sh check with Swift 6.3.2 and Swift 6.4
  • swift test (734 tests)
  • warning-as-errors and strict-concurrency swift build
  • New refusal tests on macOS 27 with the compatibility backend and in the iOS 18.6 simulator
  • Website pnpm types:check and pnpm build

Compatibility

This release is source-compatible with the Traversio 1.0 release line.
