0.0.2
npm install @glass-sdk/liquid-glass@~0.0.2Faster in every browser
- Firefox: each glass surface now draws in its own layer, so unchanged glass is never redrawn. Interactions use 59–91% less CPU than 0.0.1 and run at 120 fps.
- Safari: glass drags and menus hold 60 fps. Glass stays correct at page zoom, pinch zoom and partial repaints.
- Chrome: dragging glass costs 40% less GPU. A moving surface gets its own layer until it rests.
- Progressive blur no longer needs images or WebGPU. It now works in Firefox (0.4 → 56 fps) and Safari (previously broken), and runs at 121 fps in Chrome (up from 97).
Smaller
Every component ships as its own module, so apps only include what they import. The GPU renderer loads after the page appears. An app using a glass button now loads 47 KB of gzipped JavaScript up front instead of 139 KB, not counting React.
Compatibility
No API changes. All public exports are the same as in 0.0.1.
