Geändert

• Die Routenberechnung ist etwa doppelt so schnell. Kahla nach Lübeck braucht auf dem
  Rechner 6,5 statt 11,9 Sekunden, auf dem Handy entsprechend.

Behoben

• Der Standortdialog fragt genauen und groben Standort zusammen an, wie Android es seit
  Version 12 verlangt. „Ungefähr" wird damit richtig erkannt.

• Route calculation is about twice as fast. Kahla to Lübeck takes 6.5 instead of 11.9
  seconds on a desktop, and the phone gains accordingly.

Fixed

• The location dialog asks for precise and approximate location together, as Android
  requires since version 12. "Approximate" is now recognised properly.

• Umtragen. Im Kanu führt die Route ums Wehr herum: über die Umtragewege aus OpenStreetMap oder, wo es keine gibt, von Anleger zu Anleger. Grün gestrichelt, mit Meterangabe im Kasten.
• Ein- und Ausstiege am Ufer ab Zoomstufe 13, antippbar.
• Wasserkraftanlagen mit eigenem Symbol. Die Route fährt nicht mehr durch die Turbinen.

• Ein Wehr sperrt die Route nicht mehr, es kostet. Ohne Weg darum herum führt die Strecke hindurch und meldet es
• Gezählt werden nur Wehre, die die Strecke kreuzt
• Im Kanu kostet ein Kanal mehr als ein Fluss: Mühlgräben und Seitenarme verlieren gegen die Flussschleife

Behoben

• Wehre, die in OSM als Weg über den Fluss stehen, fehlten ganz; in Deutschland fast jedes zweite
• Routen, die oberhalb eines Wehrs begannen, scheiterten
• Am Wehr wurde oft nicht umtragen, obwohl Aus- und Einstieg eingetragen sind

• Portage. In a canoe the route goes around the weir: along the portage paths from OpenStreetMap or, where there are none, from landing to landing. Green dashed, with the distance in the box.
• Put-ins, egress points and slipways from zoom 13, tappable.
• Hydro power plants get their own symbol. The route no longer runs through the turbines.

• A weir no longer blocks the route, it costs. With no way around, the route goes through and says so
• Only weirs the route actually crosses are counted
• In canoe mode a canal costs more than a river, so mill races lose against the river loop

• Weirs mapped as a way across the river were missing entirely, nearly half of them in Germany
• Routes starting above a weir failed
• Portage was often skipped although put-in and egress are mapped

Entwicklerversionen anbieten (Entwicklereinstellungen). Die Update-Prüfung berücksichtigt dann auch den rollenden Entwicklungsbau. Standardmäßig aus.

Geändert

• Geschwindigkeitsschilder kommen aus den geladenen Kacheln statt von Overpass. Die Werte lagen dort längst; die Karte braucht dafür jetzt kein Netz.
• Die Standortsperre steht nur noch vor dem Tacho. Fahrten, GPX-Import und Batterie brauchen kein GPS und sind auch ohne Freigabe erreichbar.
• Benachrichtigungen werden beim Start einer Fahrt erfragt, nicht beim Start der App.
• Schleusenzeiten stehen untereinander, eine Regel je Zeile.

Behoben

• Schleusentore fingen den Tipp ab und zeigten „gate" statt der Schleusenauskunft
• Zeiten unter service_times wurden nicht gelesen; an der unteren Unstrut standen drei von vier Schleusen ohne Zeiten da
• Die Update-Prüfung meldete „aktuell", wenn ein Entwicklungsbau installiert war
• „Ungefähr" beim Standort führte wortlos auf dieselbe Sperrseite zurück
• Himmelsrichtungen und zwei Beschriftungen für Bildschirmleser standen fest auf Deutsch

Offer development builds (developer settings). The update check then also considers the rolling dev build. Off by default.

Changed

• Speed signs come from the downloaded tiles instead of Overpass. The values were already there; the map needs no connection for them.
• The location gate stands only in front of the speedometer. Trips, GPX import and the battery need no GPS and are reachable without it.
• Notifications are asked for when a trip starts, not when the app starts.
• Lock hours are listed one rule per line.

Fixed

• Lock gates caught the tap and showed "gate" instead of the lock details
• Hours under service_times were ignored; three of four locks on the lower Unstrut had none
• The update check said "up to date" on a development build
• "Approximate" location led back to the same gate without a word
• Compass directions and two screen-reader labels were hard-coded in German

Navigation. Ziel auf der Karte setzen: Luftlinie oder Route entlang der Wasserwege, mit Entfernung und geschätztem Verbrauch. Kartendaten aufs Gerät laden, danach Routing ohne Netz bis 600 km. Fahrzeug Motorboot oder Kanu entscheidet, welche Verbote gelten; gesperrte Abschnitte werden rot gezeichnet.

Schleusen und Wehre liegen auf der Route. Eine Schleuse antippen zeigt Zeiten, Telefon, Funkkanal und Kammermaß. Seezeichen sind antippbar, Geschwindigkeitsschilder zeigen ihren Wert.

Karte nach Norden oder in Fahrtrichtung, umschaltbar in der Titelzeile. Marker und Karte gleiten, statt von Messung zu Messung zu springen.

Wetteransicht mit Regenradar, Messwerten der nächsten DWD-Station und Windrichtung.

Coulometer mit Hall-Sensor für Akkus ohne eigenes Bluetooth.

Behoben

• Routing riss an Kachelgrenzen ab, wenn ein Fluss aus dem Rechteck zwischen Start und Ziel auswich (Main bei Frankfurt, Saale bei Merseburg)
• boat=no sperrte auch das Kanu, obwohl es gegen Motoren gemeint ist
• Karte drehte ruckelnd, der Pfeil zeigte dabei in die falsche Richtung
• Veraltete Kacheln wurden nie angeboten
• Absage „kein durchgehender Wasserweg" nannte den Grund nicht

Navigation. Set a destination on the map: straight line or a route along the waterways, with distance and estimated draw. Load map data onto the device, then route offline up to 600 km. Craft type, motorboat or canoe, decides which bans apply; blocked stretches are drawn in red.

Locks and weirs on the route. Tap a lock for hours, phone, VHF channel and chamber size. Seamarks are tappable, speed signs show their number.

Map north up or course up, switched from the title bar. Marker and map glide instead of jumping from fix to fix.

Weather screen with rain radar, readings from the nearest DWD station and wind direction.

Coulometer with a Hall sensor for packs without Bluetooth of their own.

• Routing broke at tile edges where a river left the rectangle between start and destination (Main at Frankfurt, Saale at Merseburg)
• boat=no blocked canoes too, though it is aimed at engines
• The map turned in steps and the arrow pointed the wrong way while it did
• Outdated tiles were never offered
• "No continuous waterway" never said why
