First release of Enhanced Duck, an NVDA add-on that extends audio ducking with two focus-aware modes.
Features
- Duck inactive applications — lowers the volume of every app except the one you're focused on.
- Duck the active application — lowers the volume of the app you're focused on.
- Both modes are added alongside NVDA's built-in ducking options, selectable from the Audio settings panel, the
NVDA+shift+dcommand, and configuration profiles. - Ducking is attributed per top-level-window application, so apps that stream audio through a hidden helper/renderer process are handled as a single application (the active app's own audio is not ducked as if it were a separate app). Processes with no top-level window are ignored.
Requirements
- NVDA 2024.1 or newer (tested up to 2026.1).
