Glub Browser 0.1.4 — early preview

This preview improves site compatibility and gives empty Workspaces the same clean, keyboard-first search experience as new windows.

What changed

  • Webviews now present a Chrome-compatible browser identity instead of exposing Electron or Glub-specific product tokens.
  • Google and other sites receive consistent Chromium user-agent and client-hint metadata, reducing avoidable compatibility and unusual-client checks.
  • Empty Workspaces now use the clean Where to? search surface.
  • The empty-Workspace search is centered at every window size and focused automatically for immediate typing.
  • The default Center navigator smoke test now uses representative browsing data, keeping clean first-run behavior separate from navigator validation.

Updating

Glub Browser 0.1.3 should detect this release shortly after launch. Review the notes in Glub, choose Download update, and restart when ready.

For a fresh installation, download Glub-Browser-Setup-0.1.4-x64.exe.

Warning

This early preview is not code-signed. Windows SmartScreen may identify it as an unknown publisher. Only download Glub Browser from this official repository and verify the SHA-256 checksum.

Glub Browser 0.1.3 — early preview

This preview introduces a visible, user-controlled update experience and hardens Glub's public release pipeline.

What changed

  • Glub now tells you when an update is available before downloading it.
  • The update prompt shows the version and readable release notes.
  • Choose Download update or Later using the keyboard.
  • Follow download progress, continue in the background, restart immediately, or install when Glub exits.
  • Background update checks remain unobtrusive; download errors appear in the update prompt.
  • Packaged builds are now verified against the canonical Glub-Corporation/glub-browser-releases feed.

Updating

Glub Browser 0.1.2 should detect this release shortly after launch. Review the notes in Glub, then choose when to download and install it.

Version 0.1.1 was accidentally packaged against the private source repository and cannot discover public releases. If you still use 0.1.1, install 0.1.3 manually once.

For a fresh installation, download Glub-Browser-Setup-0.1.3-x64.exe.

This early preview is not yet code-signed. Windows SmartScreen may identify it as an unknown publisher. Only download Glub Browser from this official repository and verify the SHA-256 checksum.
