First release of Slotify: upload a plate-based STEP model, enter your laser's kerf, and get a nested DXF of a kit that clicks together with finger joints, tabs and slots, including joints at angles other than 90°. Deterministic geometry, no AI, and nothing leaves your machine.
Download
Slotify.exe (Windows 10/11, about 150 MB, no Python needed). Double-click it and the app opens in its own window. Try it on the files in samples/.
- The exe is not code-signed, so SmartScreen may say "Windows protected your PC". Click More info → Run anyway.
- The window appears after a few seconds, and each kit adds about 10 s of start-up on top of the computation, because the geometry kernel ships inside the single file.
- If the WebView2 runtime is missing, Slotify opens in your browser instead.

What's in it
- Plate extraction from shelled solids, touching plate bodies, or plain closed solids (auto-shelled to a wall thickness)
- Joint classification (finger, tab, cross-lap) at any dihedral angle, with kerf-compensated flattening
- Sheet nesting, assembly-order verification, and DXF (
CUT_OUTER,CUT_INNER,ETCH), SVG, PNG, STEP and JSON report output - A kerf calibration test piece and a box generator that needs no STEP file
