V14.2.1 Bug FIxes
Show of Hands: Targeting & Cursors v14.2.1
Compatibility: Foundry VTT 14 | System-agnostic
This release focuses on cursor accuracy, multiplayer presentation, and safer profile editing. Custom cursors now follow Foundry’s active tools more reliably, shared player labels behave correctly across mixed sharing modes, and configuration changes are better protected.
Highlights
- Reliable Targeting Cursor: The custom Targeting cursor now appears and clears correctly when switching between Foundry’s Select and Target tools.
- Correct Multiplayer Labels: Receive Only and locally hidden peers retain their native Foundry names, while duplicate labels are suppressed only for players with an active module overlay.
- Safer Profile Editing: GMs are warned before switching players with unsaved cursor changes, including when using detached settings windows.
Fixes and Improvements
- Panning artwork now begins only after an actual right-button drag instead of flashing on a normal right-click.
- Disabled and read-only controls no longer appear clickable, and draggable controls correctly retain their drag cursor.
- Remote cursor names and colors update immediately when a player’s User configuration changes.
- Shared cursor image decoding now times out safely and restores the fallback cursor if loading stalls or fails.
- Aspect-ratio locking keeps cursor dimensions within browser limits and correctly handles width-only, height-only, and late-loading images.
- Reset All now resets every editable profile field, including cursor enablement and overlay-name placement.
- Failed profile saves keep the configuration window open so edits can be retried.
- The Advanced Settings opacity value now updates while moving its slider.
- Settings diagnostics now detect malformed Boolean, numeric, and profile-object values.
