Goals and Outcomes

This project is intended to serve a functional purpose: My wife is a school teacher and has expressed desire for a program to help her organize classroom seating for her students. Classroom seating is analogous to a graph coloring problem, and so algorithmically interesting in its own right. Beyond the actual seating plan, this program is intended as a learning resource for implementing a typical web application, learning how to use the Hashicorp suite to deploy and manage it in the cloud, and experimenting with ins and outs of supporting a distributed system.
