2.0.0
Velocity 2.0.0
The biggest update to Velocity since 1.0.0-alpha released half a year ago.
New design language
The new design language, known as Fluid, is the successor to the Kinetic and Tactile approaches seen in past versions of Velocity. It places greater emphasis on smooth and fluid interactions, and reduces visual noise in the UI compared to its predecessor. On the other hand, Fluid also brings back the vibrant colors and reflective sheen of emphasis elements seen in Tactile. This gives 2.0.0 a retro-futuristic charm similar to some of the oldest alpha versions of Velocity.
New paint schemes
Velocity now comes with new options for altering the color and tone of your vault. There are 7 options for dark mode, and 8 for light mode:
Light:
- Obsidian White
- Velocity Silver
- Utopia Gray
- Touring Beige
- Millennium Green
- Jet Blue Metallic
Dark:
- Obsidian Gray
- Velocity Gray
- Jet Black Matte
- Touring Brown
- British Racing Green
- Nordblau Metallic
- Midnight Purple
Many of these options have been inspired by real-world automotive paints and interior trims found on sports cars, as well as some classic racing colors.
