Bugfixes
Overview
- Removes support for 3.8 and 3.9. Adds support for 3.13.
- Bugfixes
- Correction of Hydrogen Linear Stark Broadening (see below)
Minor bugfixes
- Continuum edges no longer cut off if grid specified longwards of the edge wavelength. (#46)
Atmosphere.raysmore robust to different inputs (#38)compute_raysproduces identical results when called withoutwavelengthsargument and whenwavelengths=ctx.spect.wavelengths(#44)
Improvements
- Intial n_e calculcation in
iterate_lte_ne_eq_popsnow uses a damped direct iteration that converges very rapidly in all tested cases. The Newton-Krylov solver is still available throughdirect=False.
H Linear Stark Broadening
As originally pointed out to me by Tiago Pereira (and I believe spotted by Adam Kowalski), the expression for linear Stark broadening due to Sutton 1978 used in RH (and erroneously copied into Lightweaver) is too small by a factor of ~2 pi. This has been correct by default, but a keyword is present to re-enable to old behaviour. The quadrature on the default hydrogen atoms have been updated to better handle the wider lines produced.
