Terraformer dead?

Last release was 619 days ago, last merged commit was 7 months ago, PRs are full of automatic dep upgrades that went stale, and issues are auto-closed even though they still identify broken things

Can the admins close down the project? That way there may be motivation to start a new fork or find a new solution to Terraform's most enduring (and embarrassing) missing feature. If instead the project keeps lingering, people will keep hanging on hoping it comes back to life, and things won't move forward...

If you have energy to fork it, go for it. Don't wait. It's a lot of unpaid thankless work. You probably will get many free beers at conferences :-)

I dont know how much https://developer.hashicorp.com/terraform/cli/import can help with the use case for terraformer. I showed this to someone after using it myself, and they seemed to think that the above is comparable at-least.

I found that for Cognito specifically, not all resources are supported by this project, and I couldn't quickly think of how to add / fixup, and as @runyaga mentions, this type of work can be thankless. To what end? Maybe help out a few mom and pop shops, but mostly to support large businesses.
