Yamata is designed to be:
- Multi-platform (Windows, Linux, macOS, Android, SteamOS, Batocera)
- Source-based and extensible
- Compatible with multiple download providers
- Capable of managing PC games and ROM libraries
- Fully automated for downloading, extraction, and launch configuration
Unlike traditional launchers, Yamata does not host content. It works with external catalogs and download sources configured by the user.
If you want to extend Yamata:
Catalogs and download sources are stackable and can extend existing platforms.
