What in an ODF can prevent GO from using divisional pistons?

I have several ODFs that I downloaded where GO will not allow me to set or use divisional pistons. In the Divisional dialog the piston doesn’t respond to clicking it. I can right click and set a MIDI event to the piston, but it does not respond when that event occurs. In other ODFs the divisional work fine.

Any insight? What in the ODF could cause this behavior?

You have to set a combination to the divisional before you can use it.

Yes, I use divisional all the time in other ODFs. But in these specific ones they cannot be set or selected.

Does the piston change color when you click it?
What does the Stops panel (Audio/MIDI menu) look like? Are the stops and switches located in the section of their division?

It does nothing when clicked. Here's a screenshot that shows the ODF, there's a stop selected to set, I've clicked set, and I cannot click on any divisional piston.

Here is the same ODF but clicking on a general works fine.

And for those who question whether I'm using divisional right, here's an ODF where the divisionals work correctly.

I tried this (GUI only) but my panel looks different, note the empty row at the top.

The pistons work, but the divisionals don't work because the switches aren't connected to the divisions.

Where did you download the ODF? Is it the most recent version? Did you modify it?

Sorry, must be a language problem. I'm not sure what you mean.

Divisional in this dialog are able to be clicked on normally whether or not you attach them to a piston switch.

In ODFs from WilliNelson on https://mps-orgelseite.de/home/filebase/ many of the composite ODFs have this issue. I have not encountered it anywhere else.

The mouse click on the pistons in the Divisionals panel works. When I click, the piston changes color but no stops are switched on or off because the switches aren't connected to the divisions.
I saw on the MPS Organseite that you modified the ODF. It's one of your modifications that's causing the issue. What did you change? Do many of the composite ODFs have the mouse click issue?

This behavior is caused by the lack of pedals. I don't think the divisionals are used on sample sets without pedals. These organs or harpsichords usually only have a few stops.
@oleg68 Is this a bug? I tried other sample sets without pedals and the Divisionals panel doesn't work. The pistons don't react to mouse clicks.

Yes, it is a bug. GrandOrgue should process divisionals regardless how the organ is complex.

It will look like it's setting the divisional, but you can't recall it effectively.

So, Will,Most of the composites that I have checked have the same issue of not linking the switches to the manuals. Once I fix that, divisionals work. But it might be good to update the ODFs that are shared on MPS-Orgelsite. Ones I have fixed so far:  French Composite #1 Friesach Cathedral 3d. A possible test of an ODF is Audio/MIDI -> Stops. Only the elements belong to divisions may be assigned to divisionals. You may not assign the elements belonging to General.

@dcp9 To be clear, there are two issues

1. The pistons on the Divisionals panel don't react to mouse clicks. You modified the ODF and removed the pedals. This exposed a bug in GrandOrgue where the divisionals don't work if the organ has no pedals.
2. The mouse clicks on the divisional pistons do work, the piston changes color, but nothing happens. This is a bug in the ODF's: the switches aren't linked to the manuals. It would be better to discuss and fix this on the MPS-Orgelseite where the creators of the ODF's can help you.
