Selection jumps back to previously selected node after its drag abort, upon clicking to select new node

At the end, we see me click the "Fill" node and the selection immediately jumps back to the "Transform" node, which is the bug.

To reproduce (using the names of nodes from the video):

1. Click to select the "Transform" node (and release the mouse button)
2. Drag the "Transform" node but, before releasing, abort by either right-clicking or hitting Escape
3. Click the "Fill" node and observe the bug occur
