etaHEN 13.60 r3 — cheat activation fix + matched ShadowMount
etaHEN 13.60 r3 — cheat activation repair
This update repairs the cheat module lookup on PS5 13.60. The legacy dynlib syscall path failed to find the running game, so cheat activation stopped before applying any patch. The utility now resolves modules and their loaded bases through PS5 SDK v0.43's kernel dynlib helpers. The shared ptrace path also applies the required capabilities.
JSON patches now default to module-relative addresses. Their previously uninitialized absolute flag could produce incorrect patch destinations. The cheat index upper bound and negative JSON section check are corrected.
Download/Update Cheats now performs the requested download and refreshes indexes from the files on disk. A stale commit marker no longer prevents repairing missing files or an index replaced by the other repository.
Loading
- Load
etaHEN-13.60.elfonce after a fresh boot and jailbreak. Restart before replacing an already running etaHEN build. - Standalone ShadowMount (manual loading) is recommended for this build. The matched ShadowMount ELF is unchanged from r2. Wait until Toolbox opens normally, then load it once. Do not load a second ShadowMount copy or separate kstuff.
Website users should let the host manage optional-payload loading. The direct standalone ShadowMount asset is for manual loading.
Manually copied cheats
Put JSON, SHN or MC4 files in /data/etaHEN/cheats/json, /data/etaHEN/cheats/shn or /data/etaHEN/cheats/mc4, respectively. Use Cache and reload Cheats list after copying. The filename's title ID and version must match the running game exactly; a PS4 cheat is not interchangeable with a native PS5 cheat. This update cannot make offsets from another game update valid.
Validation
- A read-only probe reproduced the old module resolver failure on 13.60 and confirmed the SDK resolver's correct game base.
- The real corrected cheat parser and toggle implementation enabled and disabled JSON and SHN/XML patches on a marked diagnostic scratch page in a running game. Both the enabled bytes and restored bytes were verified. No executable bytes, progress or save data were modified by this diagnostic.
- Ten native/build regression tests passed, including a new poisoned-memory test for the address flag. The complete ELF builds with the corrected utility embedded.
- Fresh-boot service startup and the real Toolbox/Cheats path passed on PS5 13.60. A temporary JSON cheat for GTA V
PPSA04264/01.010.002was copied over FTP, discovered with Cache and reload Cheats list, and enabled through etaHEN. The user confirmed infinite ammo in gameplay. The utility log and independent memory read confirmed activation; disabling it restored the original byte. The temporary file and its cache entry were then removed. - The encrypted MC4 input stage and the reporter's particular cheat files have not been retested; MC4 shares the tested XML/toggle path after decryption.
Source and build scripts accompany the release. Please include title ID, exact game version, file format and the utility log when reporting a cheat failure. Community fixes and pull requests are welcome.
Original etaHEN by LightningMods and the etaHEN contributors. SDK/kernel helpers by John Törnblom and contributors. ShadowMountPlus by Drakmor and contributors; bundled kstuff-lite by EchoStretch and upstream kstuff contributors. This is an unofficial GronedWaffel integration build for PS5 13.60 only. See CREDITS.md and retained upstream license notices.
etaHEN 13.60 r2 + matched ShadowMountPlus — startup and power-transition fixes
etaHEN 13.60 r2 + matched ShadowMountPlus
Recommended for this etaHEN 13.60 r2 build: Standalone ShadowMount (manual loading). It is our custom ShadowMount build matched to the kstuff-lite bundled with this etaHEN. Load etaHEN first, wait until Toolbox opens normally, then load Standalone ShadowMount once.
Fixed in this update
- Fixed the startup race that allowed optional payloads to start before etaHEN Toolbox finished initializing. The host now requires confirmation from the current etaHEN and ShellUI processes, rather than accepting an old log entry.
- Failed Toolbox initialization now stops the optional sequence instead of being reported as a successful startup.
- etaHEN and our ShadowMount build avoid incompatible legacy kstuff pause/resume writes on 13.60. Bundled kstuff-lite v1.11 stays active; the legacy automatic pause feature is disabled.
Confirmed by our tester on PS5 13.60: Toolbox works, and the previous freezes when shutting down, restarting or entering rest mode are resolved with the updated host bundle. All 9 etaHEN and 32 host/native regression tests passed. These results do not certify every etaHEN feature, mounted-game rest/wake behavior or other firmware.
Downloads and loading order
etaHEN-13.60.elf— the complete updated etaHEN payload, including the Toolbox card and bundled kstuff-lite. Load once after a fresh boot/jailbreak.etaHEN-13.60_Standalone-ShadowMount.elf— recommended for this etaHEN 13.60 r2 build. This starts ShadowMount immediately. Wait until Toolbox opens normally before loading it once. Do not also load another ShadowMount copy or a separate kstuff.
The website already uses the matched builds and guarded loading order. Let its offline cache update before starting. Restart before replacing an already running payload.
Source and credit
Updated etaHEN source is in this repository. etahen-shadowmount-13.60-r2-source.zip includes the modified etaHEN and ShadowMount sources, supervisor, build scripts, regression tests and original license notices. Upstream dependency source archives, scoped validation metadata and SHA256SUMS.txt are also attached. Pull requests, reproducible bug reports and community testing are welcome.

etaHEN 13.60 — unofficial 2.5B port r1
etaHEN 2.5B — unofficial PS5 13.60 port, revision 1
Download etaHEN-13.60.elf below. This is the complete payload, including automatic Toolbox card setup. The ELF is byte-identical to the build confirmed working through the website on 2026-09-29.
Original etaHEN by LightningMods and the etaHEN contributors. This is an unofficial 13.60 port maintained by GronedWaffel, not an official etaHEN release. Full credits.
Included
- PS5 13.60 startup and runtime/hook adaptations.
- Automatically installed etaHEN Toolbox home-screen card.
- Working legacy Toolbox route, separate from Sony's normal Debug Settings.
- Services → Start PS5Debug-NG 1.3.2 with duplicate-load protection.
- Homebrew Store and PS5 webMAN Games main-menu buttons removed.
- Fix for URL-loaded payloads falsely reporting an old running instance.
Start
Use a fresh boot and compatible 13.60 jailbreak/ELF loader, then send etaHEN-13.60.elf once. Alternatively, sniperscheats.lol runs the configured jailbreak and loads it automatically. Do not load another copy over an active etaHEN instance.
The main ELF creates/restores the Toolbox card. Card setup uses the newer application registration scan, which can also register other already-staged application folders; unchanged installed cards skip this scan.
Validation and source
Fresh startup, the corrected website flow, automatic card restoration, Toolbox navigation and the PS5Debug Services action were confirmed on PS5 13.60. The build and nine regression tests pass. This is not a claim that every upstream etaHEN feature or another firmware has been tested; see the validation record.
The port source is attached automatically as GitHub's Source code downloads. Matching upstream SDK, kstuff-lite, PS5Debug-NG and app-dumper source archives are also attached, with their original licenses. See BUILDING.md and BUILD-INPUTS.json in the repository for other upstream build inputs and exact hashes. Pull requests and compatibility reports are welcome.
