@GrumpyStuff GrumpyStuff released this 26 Sep 10:26
  • add support for Jackson instead of GSON
  • Bugfix in MapConverter (it just never worked and always threw an exception)
  • JsonEngine no longer closes any reader/writer/streams passed to it. Doing so was never intended.
  • internal exceptions are now chained as cause to a de/serialization exception (but still not responded to the client
    because we don't know if they contain sensitive information)
  • added some missing registrations for standard from-string parsers
  • parsing a path segment now throws PathArgumentParseException which responds its message with a 404 error to the
    client because such errors are not expected to contain sensitive information
  • refactoring, including moving classes around to better organize packages
  • more unit tests

Version 0.9

@GrumpyStuff GrumpyStuff released this 26 Jul 11:35
  • Removed the grumpyrest-jetty-launcher subproject. This project contained only two helper classes that at best helped
    start a project with Grumpyrest, but had to be replaced later anyway to allow changes. Such code is better located
    in a demo, so I moved these two classes into the grumpyrest-demo subproject.
  • added a HOWTO on overriding type converters
  • split grumpyjson-gson out of grumpyjson and renamed the latter to grumpyjson-core.
    • moved the dependency on Gson to grumpyjson-gson
    • grumpyjson-core and grumpyrest are no longer depending on Gson
  • renamed the base Java package to io.github.grumpystuff to match the group ID
  • fix documentation, wiki sync and javadoc sync for the new GitHub namespace
