Fixed: the app could fail to start at all on a clean Windows machine.RocksDB, ONNX Runtime and the audio backend need the Microsoft Visual C++ Runtime, which Windows does not ship by default and the installer cannot install for you; those runtime files are now bundled app-local with both the main app and the separate capture-worker process.
Fixed: WebRTC/WHEP camera streams now actually connect on Windows. A missing runtime library silently broke every previously shipped WHEP build, so low-latency WebRTC streaming never worked until now.
The uninstaller now keeps your recordings, camera configurations and settings by default — removing them is an explicit choice you make during an interactive uninstall, not something that happens automatically.
Fixed: uninstalling now also removes the AI detection models downloaded after setup, the installation folder once it's empty, and the notification shortcut registration — data that used to survive an uninstall and could block a clean reinstall.
Fixed: uninstalling no longer leaves a Start Menu shortcut behind.
Guardian Eye can now be installed and updated through WinGet (winget install), submitted automatically as part of each official release.
Technical Details
Build & CI
CI now checks every published bundle (Windows, Linux, macOS) for missing or unresolved native library dependencies before it ships — the same class of defect that caused the Windows launch crash and the WHEP connection failure fixed in this release.
The Windows build of the WebRTC/WHEP stack now links libwinpthread statically, and all three platform build scripts gate on an allowlist of known-OS libraries instead of a blacklist of suspicious names.
Fixed false positives in the macOS and Linux native-dependency checks (symlinked versioned FFmpeg libraries, a library's own install name misread as a dependency of itself, the Swift runtime, and an undeclared zlib1g dependency on Linux); their diagnostic output is now in English.
The WinGet submission workflow now uses a manifest schema supported by GitHub-hosted runners.
Added internal documentation for Apple and Microsoft Store publishing, including the certification findings recorded from the 3.4.0 submission.
