Source Material (1.2)

Choose a tag to compare

@Gucky Gucky released this 22 Jul 10:34

ApKI now reaches beyond Apple’s documentation and videos into the official open-source repositories that make much of the Swift ecosystem tick — without asking every iOS question to become a compiler archaeology project.

What’s Changed

  • Added a curated Apple and SwiftLang open-source index with 55 official repositories.
  • Added 30 directly consumable Swift libraries, including Swift Collections, Algorithms, Atomics, Async Algorithms, SwiftNIO, Swift OpenAPI, Swift Protobuf, Swift Markdown, Swift Syntax, and more.
  • Added 11 developer-tooling references for Swift Format, Swift-DocC, Swift Testing, toolchain management, editor support, and Core ML tooling.
  • Added focused Apple-platform integrations for App Store Server APIs, Foundation Models utilities, Wallet passes, and FHIR models.
  • Added a separate toolchain and evolution route for the Swift compiler, Swift Package Manager, SourceKit-LSP, Swift Evolution, and selected experimental work.
  • Linked each repository directly and, where applicable, its current Package.swift.
  • Updated ApKI’s lookup guidance, UI metadata, README, and license scope to cover the new official GitHub resources.

More Than a Title (1.1)

Choose a tag to compare

@Gucky Gucky released this 22 Jul 08:49

ApKI’s video catalogue now gives agents more than a title to go on.

Every one of its 1,840 Apple Developer video entries now includes Apple’s concise session description. That makes it easier to identify worthwhile WWDC sessions, Tech Talks, and Meet with Apple videos before opening a small forest of tabs.

What’s Changed

  • Added Apple-provided concise descriptions to all 1,840 indexed video entries.
  • Updated video lookup guidance: agents now search event and collection files by topic, use titles and descriptions to triage relevance, and then follow promising Apple video pages for transcripts, code examples, sample projects, related documentation, and further resources where available.
  • Consolidated 396 Apple framework and technology entries into one alphabetic frameworks.md directory.
  • Simplified public lookup guidance by removing status-only index material from the agent-facing path.
  • Clarified that Apple-provided video descriptions remain subject to Apple’s applicable terms.

Compatibility

The install command and skill name remain unchanged:

npx skills add https://github.com/Gucky/ApKI --skill apki

Core Knowledge (1.0)

Choose a tag to compare

@Gucky Gucky released this 17 Jul 19:44

A first release for finding Apple-platform answers at the source, before a quick web search turns into a small archaeological dig.

ApKI — Apple Knowledge Index is an installable agent skill that gives Codex and other coding assistants a compact, current route into Apple’s primary developer resources. It is a lookup layer, not a copied documentation archive.

What's Included

  • Installable skill package for npx skills add
  • 1,840 Apple Developer video entries, covering WWDC 2014–2026, Tech Talks, and Meet with Apple
  • 396 Apple framework and technology entries
  • Focused component indexes for Swift, SwiftUI, UIKit, SwiftData, StoreKit, App Intents, WidgetKit, and more
  • Direct routes to Human Interface Guidelines, sample code, technology overviews, and Apple Open Source
  • Source dates and metadata to make later refreshes efficient

Compatibility

ApKI requires an AI coding assistant that supports agent skills and internet access when following Apple’s official source links. Its references deliberately point to the live Apple material, so detailed information stays authoritative instead of becoming stale inside the skill.
