D-Island 1.2.1, a Dynamic Island for Windows 10 and 11.

What's new in 1.2.1

• Updates install by themselves: a downloaded update now installs within seconds of the island being free (no timer, alarm or open island), instead of waiting up to 10 minutes. Settings > Updates shows what it's waiting for.

New in 1.2

• To-Do list: a new page for quick tasks. Type, press Enter, tick them off.
• Notes: a scratch pad in the island that saves as you type. Press Esc to give the keyboard back to your app.
• Smoother animations: switching between Dynamic Island and notch now morphs from one to the other, and hiding or showing the island (Ctrl+Alt+I) shrinks it into the top edge and back.
• Your town in Weather: with "My location", the weather page shows the town's name (from OpenStreetMap) instead of "My location".
• Hide shortcut works on more PCs: if another app already uses the shortcut, D-Island still responds to it, and Settings says so.
• What's New: after every update, a short summary of what changed (also in Settings > Updates).

Already using D-Island? It updates itself within a day, or right away from Settings > Updates > Check for updates.

• Two activities at once: a timer or stopwatch in the island with music in a bubble beside it, like the iPhone.
• Looks: island or notch shape, Liquid Glass material, music bars that follow the sound, and lots of settings.
• Updates itself: D-Island checks this page once a day and installs new versions when the island is idle (Settings > Updates).

Install

Download D-Island-Setup-1.2.1.exe below and run it. It installs for your user only (no admin needed) and includes everything it needs. A short guide is shown during setup.

"Windows protected your PC"? D-Island is new and not yet code-signed, so Microsoft Defender SmartScreen doesn't recognise it. Check the file below, then click More info and Run anyway. You only see this once: updates install themselves without it.
