@github-actions github-actions released this 12 Sep 19:37

Shibumi 0.1.1-beta.13

Summary

Beta.13 supersedes Beta.12, which was tagged but not published as a GitHub
release or AUR package. It carries forward the 24-plugin suite, Omarchy 4.0.3
runtime integration, bar corrections, and lifecycle hardening from that
candidate.

Snapshot identity hotfix

Rollback now keeps the admitted shell.json snapshot bound to a no-follow
regular-file descriptor until the transaction ends. Name, held-object, size,
and digest checks reject replacement and in-place mutation, including inode
reuse. Descriptor cleanup, drained-baseline rebinding, and crash-simulation
paths have dedicated regressions.

Beta.13 contains no Step-6 product functionality or automatic Step-6 migration.

Validation status

Validation passed for the exact package payload:

  • snapshot-descriptor regressions, including replacement, in-place mutation,
    descriptor cleanup, and crash simulation;
  • the complete local contract suite, reproducible source archive, and clean AUR
    package rehearsal;
  • package-bound lifecycle acceptance on Omarchy 4.0.3 with all 24 plugins; and
  • the physical Machine 2 V1/V2, stock-bar return, style, and top/bottom matrix
    without new Quickshell coredumps.

Multi-output testing was skipped because the validation machine exposes only
eDP-1. AUR publication is deferred.

Shibumi 0.1.1-beta.11

Summary

Beta.11 integrates the Step 2, Step 3, Step 4A, and Step 4B work on the exact
clean candidate e94e9ac. It activates the native Audio and Bluetooth owners,
keeps the 24-plugin/one-Quickshell-process contract, and records physical local
Audio and Bluetooth acceptance.

Included

  • Compact production-boundary completion from Step 2
  • Bluetooth audio-route seam from Step 3
  • Native PipeWire Audio and BlueZ/Bluetooth ownership
  • Primitive Audio panel seam with typed action results and stable IDs
  • Live output/input/stream volume and mute controls
  • Coalesced mouse-wheel volume updates with acknowledgement and stale-update protection
  • Jabra Evolve2 55 native Bluetooth pairing, audio routing, disconnect/reconnect,
    and remove/fresh-pair/reconnect acceptance
  • Consistent and right-aligned Audio panel percentage typography
  • 24 managed plugins with one Quickshell process and exact live payload identity

Validation

  • Complete local contract regression: passed
  • Audio/media plugin regression: passed
  • Bluetooth plugin regression: passed
  • Local physical Audio acceptance: passed
  • Local physical Bluetooth acceptance: passed
  • Local live shell: one Quickshell process, ping: ok

Deferred gates

Beta.11 is a public beta candidate. Physical second-display,
mixed-scale/hotplug, and enterprise-Wi-Fi acceptance remain separate stable
release gates. Machine2 validation is intentionally out of scope for this
candidate.

@HANCORE-linux HANCORE-linux released this 21 Aug 07:31

Shibumi 0.1.1-beta.10

Summary

Beta.10 is the release candidate after the official Omarchy baseline refresh.
It keeps the Step 1D host-owned Notifications result intact and records the
forward-compatible Network action contract without beginning the native
Network cutover.

Included

  • Official Omarchy 4.0.0-1 / v4.0.0 package and source baselines
  • Immutable forward-compatibility evidence at ed7bae4a
  • connectKnown() and connectDirectly() host action compatibility
  • Permanent regression coverage for the forward Network action
  • Package, source-parity, forward, Agents, suite, Health, and live validation
gates covered by the beta.10 validation plan; exact clean-commit evidence is
    required before tagging

Known limits

Physical multi-output, mixed-scale, hardware, and full visual-freeze gates
remain explicitly open. AUR publication remains unavailable until the package
name can be registered.

Shibumi Shell 0.1.1-beta.8

Pre-release

Choose a tag to compare

@HANCORE-linux HANCORE-linux released this 13 Aug 12:34

Shibumi Shell 0.1.1-beta.8

This prerelease adds optional per-generation layout locks, compacts the Bars controls, and hardens managed updates without taking ownership of Omarchy's transparency preference.

Update an existing source installation:

cd Shibumi-Shell
git pull --ff-only
./scripts/shibumi-suite update --yes

AUR publication remains pending because registration is currently unavailable.

What changed

  • Lock V1 and V2 layouts independently while retaining Edit slots/layout as a temporary override
  • Present Edit, Lock, and Restore side by side for the active generation, with a visible toggle state
  • Keep Shibumi V1/V2 opaque while preserving bar.transparent exclusively for the stock Omarchy bar
  • Add V1/V2 widget appearance controls and clearer transfer/reset actions
  • Surface Omarchy Agents usage and third-party plugin update status

Update and lifecycle fixes

  • Drain the managed Quickshell process before replacing plugin payloads
  • Refuse updates while the Omarchy session lock is active
  • Enforce exclusive bar-widget ownership and harden output teardown
  • Restore the Omarchy plugin diff pager and close update panels before launching external review or update actions
  • Select omarchy.agents when current hosts no longer ship the legacy model-usage providers
  • Keep Network speed tests entirely inline by running omarchy-network-speedtest from Shibumi without loading Omarchy's standalone speed-test panel

Compatibility and release limits

  • Existing V1/V2 layouts remain directly editable because both locks default off
  • Existing bar.transparent values remain untouched and are not materialized when absent
  • The suite remains 24 native Omarchy plugins in one Quickshell process
  • Physical mixed-scale multi-monitor, enterprise Wi-Fi, remaining device-backed Bluetooth, clean-chroot packaging, and safe nested-compositor checks remain explicit external stable gates

Pre-release

Choose a tag to compare

@HANCORE-linux HANCORE-linux released this 07 Aug 12:46

Shibumi Shell 0.1.1-beta.7

This prerelease removes a Network label binding loop without changing the established V1 or V2 visual design.

Update an existing source installation:

cd Shibumi-Shell
git pull --ff-only
./scripts/shibumi-suite update --yes

AUR publication remains pending because registration is currently unavailable.

What changed

  • Measure bounded Network labels independently from their rendered width
  • Exercise Wi-Fi transitions across V1 and V2 full, icon, and text modes, including long bounded labels
  • Repeatedly validate V1, V2, and stock Omarchy bar transitions

Fixes in beta.7

  • Prevent the V2 Wi-Fi label from entering a width/implicitWidth binding loop
  • Remove the same cyclic width pattern from the shared V1/V2 text-only Network presentation

Compatibility and release limits

  • The suite remains 24 native Omarchy plugins in one Quickshell process
  • No colors, typography, icons, animation, or intended label-width limits changed
  • Physical mixed-scale multi-monitor, enterprise Wi-Fi, remaining device-backed Bluetooth, and clean-chroot package checks remain explicit external stable gates

Shibumi Shell 0.1.1-beta.6

Pre-release

Choose a tag to compare

@HANCORE-linux HANCORE-linux released this 07 Aug 10:29

Shibumi Shell 0.1.1-beta.6

This prerelease hardens lifecycle crash consistency and stable-release promotion without changing the established V1 or V2 visual design.

Update an existing source installation:

cd Shibumi-Shell
git pull --ff-only
./scripts/shibumi-suite update --yes

AUR publication remains pending because registration is currently unavailable.

What changed

  • Classify stable GitHub releases separately from prereleases with validated SemVer handling
  • Restore the exact pre-install Omarchy layout on the first return to the stock bar
  • Report unavailable runtime logs instead of treating them as clean
  • Correct current documentation to the authoritative 24-plugin suite count

Fixes in beta.6

  • Publish suite and bar-switch transactions only after complete durable preparation
  • Serialize continuity recovery with active lifecycle workers
  • Persist journals, staged payloads, namespace renames, configuration, install state, archives, and cleanup in crash-safe order
  • Reject malformed, incomplete, or symlinked recovery state before changing live files or stopping the shell
  • Resume interrupted transaction preparation, archive copying, and cleanup safely
  • Wait for an authoritative stock-shell ping and isolate lifecycle-evidence restarts and compositor probes from the production session
  • Suppress hidden official Audio and Network keyboard panels before compatibility redirects can flash stock Omarchy UI

Compatibility and release limits

  • The suite remains 24 native Omarchy plugins in one Quickshell process
  • No V1/V2 colors, geometry, typography, icons, animations, or layout design changed
  • Compatibility remains revision-bound to the installed Omarchy 12af188 baseline and forward snapshot fd1034f
  • Physical mixed-scale multi-monitor, enterprise Wi-Fi, remaining device-backed Bluetooth, and clean-chroot package checks remain explicit external stable gates

Full Changelog: v0.1.1-beta.5...v0.1.1-beta.6

Update an existing source installation:

cd Shibumi-Shell
git pull --ff-only
./scripts/shibumi-suite update --yes

AUR publication remains pending because registration is currently unavailable.

What changed

  • Keep third-party plugin updates behind Omarchy's changed-code review prompt
  • Make baseline identity checks deterministic across supported locales
  • Bind release promotion to checksummed, revision-specific lifecycle evidence

Fixes in beta.5

  • Keep recovery journals and snapshots when rollback itself fails
  • Exclude generated Python caches from staging, payload hashes, and provenance
  • Report retired plugin state without crashing shibumi-shell status
  • Restart at managed bar-owner repair boundaries instead of hot-reloading replaced providers
  • Keep popout and connected-panel ownership independent across outputs
  • Preserve declarative bar visibility after layer-window recovery
  • Restore Calendar and Power compatibility routes
  • Restore the process-wide Audio IPC owner and deliberate Network presentation redirects

Compatibility and release limits

  • The suite remains 24 native Omarchy plugins in one Quickshell process
  • No V1/V2 visual styling, geometry, typography, icon, or animation redesign is included
  • Physical mixed-scale multi-monitor, enterprise Wi-Fi, and remaining device-backed Bluetooth checks remain explicit external gates
