What's new

  • Subsystem details. The subsystems are a stop between the tiles and the lists: left and right pick a part, and Enter opens its versions, its updates by risk and its problems.
  • Before you update. The checklist names what takes the snapshot, says when this update brings a reboot because it replaces the running kernel or the nvidia driver, and compares the available space with what the update needs.
  • Signals in the band. Reboot, relogin, config errors and pending drivers show in red or yellow whenever they apply.
  • Windows over their source. Detail windows open over what they explain. Update windows show the full risk reason, and the pending window shows the kinds of version jumps, the change on disk and the updates without a size.
  • Journal for every problem. j finds the journal lines of a problem by program as well as by name.
  • Dates and positions. Live events show their date when they are not from today, and the map shows the position of the selected update.
  • A larger eye. Without the lists, the eye grows into the free space.
  • Calmer gaze. A selection is a glance: the eye looks back to the middle after it.
  • Consistent wording. Numbers, dates and plurals read the same everywhere, crashes use the problem colour, and the panel footers keep only legends.
