?? Overview
The initial alpha release of Theme Toolkit establishes the core Tauri v2 desktop application foundation for authoring, editing, previewing, and packaging desktop themes across Windows, macOS, and Linux.
It provides a 100% local studio with zero telemetry or remote store bloat, dedicated to generating standard-compliant themepacks (.deskthemepack, Dynamic HEIC, and FreeDesktop sound schemes).
? Highlights
- Tauri v2 + SvelteKit Foundation ? High-performance desktop runtime with Rust backend and reactive Svelte 5 frontend.
- Per-Platform Lib Architecture ? Clean separation of platform-specific packaging engines (Win32 CAB/makecab, macOS Dynamic Desktop, Linux FreeDesktop).
- Audio & Cursor Mapping Contracts ? Full contracts for system audio events (-14 LUFS loudness normalization) and 15 Win32/macOS/XDG cursor roles.
- Zero Telemetry Studio ? 100% local privacy-first architecture without cloud dependencies.
