What's new in 0.2.4

Security

  • Direct GitHub updates now confirm the download is the right mod before replacing it. A GitHub release can hold several assets (source archives, docs, other editions), and a valid ZIP of the wrong mod is still a valid ZIP. Silo now requires the downloaded archive to contain a readable root modDesc.xml and, when the current file is a readable mod, to identify as the same mod (matching uniqueType, or author and title). A provable mismatch is refused and the original is left untouched. Missing or uncomparable fields never block a legitimate update. (#20)
