Hack n' Roll is a web platform designed for the tech community, facilitating the organization and participation in both online and in-person events. In a rapidly advancing technological world, this platform aims to be the virtual meeting point for professionals, enthusiasts, and experts, promoting collaboration, continuous learning, and innovation.
Developed by Code Crafters, a leading company in the tech sector, this application aspires to become the essential tool for connecting the global tech community.
This frontend project has been developed using the following technologies:
- HTML5: Semantic structure of the web page.
- CSS3: Styles and visual design of the user interface. Any CSS library can be used to enhance user experience.
- JavaScript: Logic and dynamism of the user interface.
- React.js: JavaScript library for building dynamic and adaptable user interfaces.
The following tools have been employed for the planning, design, and development of this project:
- Figma: User interface design (desktop and mobile mockups, prototypes).
- Visual Studio Code: Integrated Development Environment (IDE).
- Trello: Project and task management tool.
- Git / GitHub: Version control system and collaboration platform.
The main objective is to develop a responsive web platform that allows registered users to:
- Create and manage tech events (masterclasses, workshops, hackathons, etc.).
- Explore and participate in events created by other users.
- Interact with the tech community.
To run the frontend part of this project, follow these steps:

Clone the repository:

Install dependencies:
npm install # Or yarn install -
Configure environment variables (if necessary): Create a
.envfile in the root of the frontend project and define the necessary environment variables, such as the backend API URL:REACT_APP_API_BASE_URL=http://localhost:8080/api -
Run the application:
npm start # Or yarn startThis will start the frontend application in development mode. Open your browser at
http://localhost:3000(or the URL indicated in the console).
