Overview

The 1.0 release of TellTail represents the first fully functional version of our pet classification web application. This release includes all major functionality outlined in our feature list, demonstrating substantial work, a solid user experience, and complete integration of our AI-powered classification system.

2️⃣ Binary (Installable) Distribution

  • Installation Package:

  • Installation Instructions:
    1. Clone the repository:

      cd TailTell
    2. Install frontend dependencies:
      cd frontend
      npm install
  • Running the Software Locally:
    • Start the frontend:
      npm run dev
    • Start the backend:
      pytest tests/
  • Deployment Process:
    • The system is automatically deployed using Vercel & GitHub Actions.
    • All updates pushed to GitHub trigger automatic builds and deployments.
  • Known Issues:
    • Occasional onnxruntime-web crashes require users to re-upload images.
    • Mobile navbar clipping issues are being investigated.
