Dependency on PHP Annotations plugin means unusable for PHPStorm 2025.1

I have created another issue here to track the lack of support for PHP Annotation which results in this plugin being disabled by PHPStorm for version 2025.1.

Are the plugins tested against EAP versions to ensure support for released versions? I realize that PHP Annotations is free to use, and that this plugin has a Freemium version. But as a paying subscriber for the licensed version, I would have expected that new IDE versions to be supported on release.

Is there a solution planned for this?

I know no one who doesn't contribute to JetBrains having PhpStorm at their disposal, including plugins like Laravel Idea. How much does it cost to support this project?

I have "AI"/LLM disabled explicitly everywhere possible, and annotations is a must regardless. Is the reason why such crucial functionality, as almost built-in, comes unsupported with IDE releases known?

I see there has been some proactive movement here to fix PHP Annotations

as 2025.1 is out, there is also now the final infrastructure to build against. "PHP Annotations" got already a compatibility build.

So this plugin here is also usable, but needs some changes. stay tuned.
