MS-DOS 4 Open Source Release 1.0
This release contains the fixes pulled in from various trees and is comprised of floppy images as well as virtualbox and 86box formats.
The 86box version is configured to mimic a fall 1990 high end 486 circa fall 1990 suitable for running windows 3.0 and using as a development enviroment. Extract it and put it where-ever the base folder used by 86boxmanager looks for machines.
The Virtualbox OVA can be imported into virtualbox and run from there, no further installation needed.
The 1.44 and 1.2 floppy images should cover any other needs. Each of those floppies contains utilities needed to set up a hard drive (fdisk, format, sys), a complete install (minus system files) compressed into a self-extracting file ("dos4.exe") which can be ran from c:, and example configuration files in the a:\skel folder.
